The Monastery of Agios Ioannis
South of Kos and 7 km from Kefalos Village is a small quaint monastery of Agios Ioannis (Saint John). It stands out because it’s painted in blue and white colors and overlooks the blue sea from the top of the hill. Surrounded by flourishing greenery that create a cool shade over the church and the wooden benches create a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere in a truly heavenly scenery! The inside of the church is decorated with detailed religious icons and imposing frescoes, while on the outside and some meters away there is a half-ruined bell tower.
